Food is Fun! offers both interactive and demonstrative food programs for children of all ages! The food craft programs are great for libraries, schools, park districts and colleges, as well as special events, such as art festivals.
Children love to help in the kitchen, especially help to decorate baked goods. Whether it's a cookie, cupcake or gingerbread house, children have fun being creative with food. Food is Fun! offers interactive programs that create a fun and unique experience for children to share with their parents, grandparents or other adult relative.
The programs are conducted by "Rosie the Baker", a character wearing a pink apron with pockets filled with decorating tools. Rosie also wears a white chef's hat and pink shoes. Rosie spends about 10 minutes conducting a demonstration for the children that includes how-to tips and suggestions for their food creations!
Popular demonstrative adult programs include Chocolate making for Valentine's Day, Holiday Cookie & Cupcake Decorating and Goofy for Gingerbread.
Food is Fun! travels to locations throughout Northern Illinois, including Cook, DuPage, Kane and Lake Counties.
